【摘要】:1ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodforthedeterminationoftheindentationhardnessofrubberbymeansofpockethardnessmetersoftwotypes:a)theShore-typedurometer;b)ametercalibratedinIRHD.TwotypesofShore-typedurometeraredescribed;durometertypeAisusedforrubbersinthenormalhardnessrangeandtypeDforrubbersinthehighhardnessrange.2Theuseofpocketmetersisprimarilyintendedforcontrolpurposesandisnotrecommendedforspecificationpurposes.Forsuchpurposes,themethodsgiveninISO48shouldbeused.Itispossibletoincreasetheprecisionbyfixingthepockethardnesstesteronasupport.3AsimilarmethodformeasuringthehardnessofplasticsisgiveninISO868:1985,Plasticsandebonite—Determinationofindentationhardnessbymeansofadurometer(Shorehardness).NOTE1Thehardnessofrubber,asmeasuredbytheShoreAdurometerortheIRHDmeter,isnotasimplefundamentalpropertybutisacomplexresponsetoanappliedindentation.Themeasurementwilldependuponthefollowingfactors:a)theelasticmodulusoftherubber;b)theviscoelasticpropertiesoftherubber;c)thethicknessofthetestpiece;d)thegeometryoftheindentor;e)thepressureexerted;f)therateofincreaseofpressure;g)theintervalatwhichthehardnessisrecorded.Becauseofthesefactors,resultsusingaShoreAdurometershouldnotberelateddirectlytoIRHDvalues,althoughcorrelationshavebeenestablishedforsomeindividualrubbersorcompounds.
