【摘要】:Thedimensionalchangeobtainedunderspecifiedconditionsofpressingandsinteringisamaterialcharacteristicinherentinthepowder.Itisusefultotheproduction,testing,anduseofmetalpowders.Theabsolutedimensionalchangemaybeusedtoclassifypowdersordifferentiateonetypeorgradefromanother,toevaluateadditionstothepowdermixormeasureprocesschanges,andtoguideinthedesignoftooling.Thecomparativedimensionalchangeismainlyusedasaqualitycontroltesttomeasurevariationsbetweenlotsofmetalpowdersofthesamematerialcomposition.Factorsknowntoaffectsizechangearethetestspecimenprocessconditionsofgreendensity,sintertime,sintertemperature,sinteratmosphere,levelofadditionstothebasemetalpowder,lubricanttype,powdergrade,powdertype,andpowderlot.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingthechangeindimensionsthatoccursasaresultofsinteringametalpowderspecimen.Thesizechangereferredtoisthedifferencebetweenthediesizeandthesizeofthesinteredspecimenafterithascooledtoroomtemperature,expressedasapercentage.Thissizechangeisabasiccharacteristicofthemetalpowder.1.2Thegeneralprocedureofmeasuringatestspecimenanddie,thecalculatinghedimensionalchanges,asdescribedinthistestmethod,alsomaybeusedtodeterminegreenexpansion,heattreatchanges,orotherdimensionalchangesoftestspecimensthatresultfromprocessingsteps.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIequivalentsareinparenthesesandmaybeapproximate.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
