【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiesrequirementsforthesafeprovisionandassemblyofelectricalpower,dataandtelecommunicationsdistributionsystemsinofficefurniture,educationalfurnitureandofficescreens.Requirementsarespecifiedforfurnitureforgeneraluseandforfurnitureforusewithspecificequipment,partsofwhichmaybebuiltinduringmanufacture.Appropriatetestsaredescribedfortheinstalledpowerdistributionsysteminthefurniture.Thestandardappliestosingle?phaseelectricalpowerdistributionsystemsoperatingatratedvoltagesupto250Va.c.thatareconnectedtothefixedwiringofthepermanentinstallationofthebuildingbya13AfusedplugandsocketoutletarrangementconformingtoBS1363.Thestandardmakesprovisionfortheroutingofcablesthroughthefurniture.Thisstandarddoesnotapplytoelectricalappliancesusedwithorwithinanarticleofofficefurnitureoreducationalfurniture,forwhichappropriatestandardsareavailable.Thestandarddoesnotapplytopowerdistributionsystemsthatarepermanentlyconnectedtothebuildinginstallation.Thestandardalsodoesnotapplytospecialpurposeworkstationsinlaboratoriesorworkshops.
