【摘要】:ThistestmethodwasdevelopedusingTestMethodD2603x2013;91.Thistestmethodpermitstheevaluationofshearstabilitywithminimuminterferencefromthermalandoxidativefactorsthatmaybepresentinsomeapplications.Ithasbeenfoundapplicabletofluidscontainingbothreadilyshearedandshear-resistantpolymers.Correlationwithperformanceinthecaseofhydraulicapplicationshasbeenestablished.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationoftheshearstabilityofhydraulicfluidsintermsofthefinalviscositythatresultsfromirradiatingasampleofthehydraulicfluidinasonicoscillator.1.2Evidencehasbeenpresentedthatagoodcorrelationexistsbetweenthesheardegradationthatresultsfromsonicoscillationandthatobtainedinavanepumptestprocedure.1.3Thistestmethodusesmillimetressquaredpersecond(mm2/s),anSIunit,astheunitofviscosity.Forinformation,theequivalentunit,cSt,isshowninparentheses.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
