【摘要】:1.1*Scope.1.1.1Thiscodeshallapplytomotorfueldispensingfacilities;marine/motorfueldispensingfacilities;andmotorfueldispensingfacilitieslocatedinsidebuildings,atfleetvehiclemotorfuelfacilities,andatfarmsandisolatedconstructionsites.Thiscodeshallalsoapplytomotorvehiclerepairgarages.1.1.2*Thiscodeshallnotapplytothosemotorfueldispensingfacilitieswhereonlyliquefiedpetroleumgas(LP-Gas),liquefiednaturalgas(LNG),orcompressednaturalgas(CNG)isdispensedasmotorfuel.A.1.1.2SeeNFPA52,VehicularFuelSystemsCode,andNFPA58,LiquefiedPetroleumGasCode,forrequirementsforfacilitieswhereonlythesefuelsaredispensed.A.1.1Thiscode,knownastheCodeforMotorFuelDispensingFacilitiesandRepairGarages,isrecommendedforuseasthebasisforlegalregulations.Itsprovisionsareintendedtoreducethehazardsofmotorfuelstoadegreeconsistentwithreasonablepublicsafety,withoutundueinterferencewithpublicconvenienceandnecessity.Thus,compliancewiththiscodedoesnoteliminateallhazardsintheuseofthesefuels.SeetheFlammableandCombustibleLiquidsCodeHandbookforadditionalexplanatoryinformation.
