【摘要】:Knowledgeofmigrantsfromplasticmaterialsmayservemanyusefulpurposes,suchastestingforcompliancewithfoodadditiveregulations.Theproceduredescribedinthistestmethodisrecommendedassuitableforobtainingsuchdataonmanymigrant(s)/plastic(s)combinations.1.1ThistestmethodcoverstheuseoftheFDAmigrationcellintheextractionofcomponentsandpermitsquantitationofindividualmigrantsfromplasticmaterialsbysuitableextractingliquids,includingliquidfoodsandfood-stimulatingsolvents.1.2Thistestmethodprovidesatwo-sided,liquidextractiontestforplasticmaterialsthatcanbeformedintofilm,sheet,ordisks.1.3Thistestmethodhasbeenappliedtoavarietyofmigrant/polymersystemsincontactwithnumerousfoodsandfoodsimulants.Thoughmostofthemigrantsexaminedwereradiolabeled,theuseoftheFDAcellhasbeenvalidatedformigrationstudiesofunlabeledsytrenefrompolystyrene.1.4ThistestmethodhasbeenshowntoyieldreproducibleresultsundertheconditionsformigrationtestsrequestedbytheFDA.However,ifthedataistobesubmittedtotheFDA,itissuggestedthattheirguidelinesbeconsulted.1.5Becauseitemploystwo-sidedextraction,thistestmethodmaynotbesuitableformulti-layeredplasticsintendedforsingle-sidedfoodcontactuse.1.6ThesizeoftheFDAmigrationcellasdescribedmayprecludeitsuseindeterminingtotalnonvolatileextractivesinsomecases.Note18212;Formoreinformation,seePracticeD1898,theAOACMethodsofAnalysisonFlexibleBarrierMaterialsExposedforExtraction,andthe1995RecommendationsforChemistryDataforIndirectFoodAdditivePetitions.1.7Analyticalproceduresmustbeavailabletoquantitatethemigrant(s)generatedbythistestmethod.1.8ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.9Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsstatementsaregiveninSection8.Note28212;ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.
